Big Surprise

Well we came home from holiday and found that we had an extra head!

Between being checked on Saturday evening and seen again on Sunday, Minyffodd Delma decided that she didn't have wind afterall and produced a HUGE colt foal (by Derwen Trot On )

He has been christened Marchell AJ after a goodfriend who saw him first and sat for an hour with him in the field, feeding his dam carrots!

Pentaran Oystercatcher

Congratulations to Keira Sweenie and Pentaran Oystercatcher at their recent success at the British Riding Club Championships.





After the dressage phase they were in 1st place, moving down to second after a three second time penalty following the x country.





Despite a valiant effort on the last day and with only four faults at the last show jumping fence, they finished in an excellent fourth place.

Very sad News....

Sadly, today we lost the outstanding stallion, HENDREWEN DERYN.

Deryn had reached the grand old age of 31 years and only this morning he cantered over for his feed as normal. His age took him from us in the end but we are honoured to have know him.

New breed on yard !

This young man has recently been a visitor on the yard and certainly a new breed for us! 'Call The Chauffeur' is a Standardbred stallion and has been with us for A.I. duties.

A pleasure to handle and a real softie, this stallion is owned by Mr A Blackwell and is a proven 'speed machine'. With three mares scanned in foal and two more to be scanned soon hopefully there will be lots more "Calling The Chauffeur" next year :)

Pentaran Oystercatcher

Marchell Bold Lady

Exciting times for us - Marchell Bold Lady scanned in foal to the wonderful stallion - Treliver Decanter.

Big thanks to Gill Clothier of the Treliver Stud. With any luck the resulting foal will bear the WSH prefix.

WSH Stop The Music

On her first outing with foal at foot, WSH Stop The Music was once more in the ribbons at the Scotting Summer Show 2010. On his very first outing her colt foal 'Mays Sunny Days' WPBR Youngstock Champion, Large WPBR Champion and Overall WPBR Champion


Not to be outdone, Stop The Music won - Large WPBR Res. Champion and Overall WPBR Res. Champion .

Mays Sunny Days is by Broadstone West Country.

Congratulations to her owner Julia Lyon and all her team.

Pentaran Vorenious

We always like to hear how our young stock are getting on - a lovely email received yesterday.

Thought I would send you this picture of Pentaran Vorenius (Ronnie). He's now 3 years and 1 month. Put a saddle on him last year - he never flinched so I didn't do anything else with him. On Sunday I put a saddle on him again, within 5 mins in the seat. This picture was taken within minutes of him having me on his back!!
He's been a superstar in every way.
We are off to our first show at the weekend...wish him luck!

Rumba (as he is known at home) qualified for the Hickstead Dressage Master Welsh Regional Finals at only his second outing at affiliated dressage.

Out of an Irish bred TB mare and by our own late stallion - Erwfforch Dewin Direudus, Rumba follows in a line of talented performance offspring.

His education will continue and he is also offered For Sale.
